It was an honour to present at The Language Show on how to navigate the UK’s vocational pathways into public service interpreting and translation. We explored the key qualifications available, what each route offers and how to choose the one that supports your goals.

This seminar will guide aspiring language professionals through the UK’s vocational routes into public service interpreting and translation. Marta Leigh, a highly trained interpreter, sworn translator (Poland), experienced tutor and assessor with over 20 years of professional experience and founder of Klotski Translations Ltd., will explain how to choose between key qualifications such as the Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpreting, Level 6 Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (Law and Health), Level 6 Diploma in Community Interpreting, Level 6 Certificate in Translation (CertTrans), and Level 7 Diploma in Translation (DipTrans). The session will cover course-based, portfolio-based, and standalone exam formats, helping attendees understand the pathways that align with their career goals in courts, healthcare, immigration and more.
